If you have a regular cleaning and maintenance routine for your hearing aids, the domes and tubing should last between 3 and 6 months, dependent on how often you wear them. However, since they are very affordable, it is recommended to change them every 3 months to keep them free of wax and debris.
You do need to change them when
ear domes are broken
they become very stiff
they are changing color
they do not fit well
you experience increase in feedback and whistling
Wiping with a tissue and pushing the cleaning wire through the tubing, is an excellent way to increase their lifespan.
